AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sayed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a telephone conversation with Constantinos Kombos, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, while detailing the war crimes committed by the United States and the Zionist regime during their 40 days of military aggression against Iran, emphasized the responsibility of all countries to condemn these crimes and demand accountability for the criminals.
Referring to the prohibition of any support or backing for aggressors under international law, including paragraph 3 of the Definition of Aggression Resolution, he emphasized the international responsibility of all parties that have directly or indirectly participated in the commission of the crime of aggression by the United States and Israel against Iran.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, also explaining Iran's responsible approach in accepting the mediators' proposal for a ceasefire to pave the way for negotiations for a complete end to the war, stated, "Given the repeated breaches of faith by the United States, the world is watching America's actions with skepticism."
Araghchi, condemning the Zionist regime's aggression against Lebanon and the killing of hundreds of people, stated, "The cessation of Israel's military aggression against Lebanon was part of the Iran-U.S. ceasefire understanding, which was also emphasized by the Prime Minister of Pakistan."
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran added, "Israel's attacks on Lebanon are a diabolical act by the Zionist regime to prolong the war in the region and destroy diplomacy, the consequences of which will be borne by the United States."
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the European Union, expressed satisfaction over the cessation of the war and the announcement of the ceasefire during this telephone conversation, emphasizing the necessity for all parties to adhere to the ceasefire and focus on the diplomatic path in the region.
